Real estate careers in Agadir

Jobs, neighbourhoods, where to invest, agencies and training for agents in Agadir. Morocco has no agent licence yet, and every sale is signed before a notary or adouls.

The market in Agadir

Taghazout Bay took about 17% of Agadir's 1.5 million-arrival, 6.3 million-night hotel market in 2025, and the Grand Stade d'Agadir is set to grow from 41,800 to 46,000 seats for the 2030 World Cup (Le360, January 2026; Medias24, September 2025).

Agadir is Morocco's main beach resort and the business capital of the Souss-Massa farming region. Greater Agadir, Taghazout Bay and Imi Ouaddar recorded 1.5 million arrivals and 6.3 million nights in classified hotels in 2025, and Agadir Al Massira airport handled about 3.5 million passengers, up 11%. The property market is uneven: in Q1 2026 transactions fell 51.4% quarter on quarter while prices barely moved (-0.3%), then in Q2 2026 apartment sales rebounded 32.3% with prices up 0.9%. The city is a 2030 World Cup host, and the Marrakech to Agadir high-speed line finished its studies in May 2026 but still needs financing.

Foreign buyers
Foreigners buy freely in Agadir on the national rules. ReaConsult points to winter visitors from France, Germany, Scandinavia and Britain who drive the seasonal rental market, and to a European retiree market; Moroccan, British and French guests are the destination's main hotel markets. Global Property Guide measured an average gross yield of 4.76% in Agadir in 2026 (5.31% on a two-bedroom). Since 1 July 2026 any part of a price above MAD 300,000 paid off the books carries an extra 2% registration duty.
Agent licence
Morocco has no broker licence, no professional card and no entry exam: the job of real estate agent is not defined by any law. A draft law on the status of real estate agents (bill 36.17, 37 articles) was filed in February 2014 and sent to the Secretariat General of the Government in 2017; it would require a clean criminal record and either a two-year post-baccalaureate degree or five years of experience. The Housing Minister promised in October 2023 to relaunch it, but in March 2025 Bladi reported it was still not adopted, and in November 2025 Rabat agents told Le Brief the profession still had no legal framework. No adoption had been found as of October 2026. A voluntary national register counted about 1,312 agents in 2023 (Le360). Agents work under ordinary company and tax law, and the trade is dominated by informal intermediaries called samsars. The full guide
